grace as they were marched in the drizzling rain to Bulford & there inspected by Major General Monash commanding the 3rd Division. The inspection by the King was not till the next day.
27/9/16 4 am was the artillery men's reveille time & great activity in harness & vehicle preparation prevailed. Before 9 am all units were well on their way to Bulford Camp the sight of the coming inspection. Better weather prevailed at first. Then at 10 am the King rode down the flanks of the massed troops & expressed himself as very pleased with their smart appearance. Then the march past began &
