complete equipment. On this day Saturday five of us including two stretcherbearers hired a car about 2.30 & went over to Wilton House the Earl of Pembrokes fine place 3 miles outside of Salisbury. Here we spent a very pleasant afternoon at a Red Cross FĂȘte. The house is used as a red cross convalescent home for wounded soldiers. The house itself is a large & rather imposing stone building with the Earls coat of arms standing out on the front of the house in bold relief. But it was not the house but the beautiful grounds, or park rather that forced
