We had tea at the splendid Union Jack Club opposite the station & went round the Commonwealth Head Quarters where all we got was a couple of books on Aust. which The one I had I promptly sent back to Austr. The limited complimentary theatre tickets usually available to soldiers were not available on Saturday evenings, much to our regret. Then we proceeded to obtain accommodation. We tried at the YMCA buildings such as Tottenham Court Rd, but were obliged to put up at a private hotel.
In the evening we went to the Garrick Teatre to see that very poor play, "The Rotters", A Tale
