sports among the 3rd Australian Division & have been granted a holiday in consequence. Many of our men are competing. The following Saturday we are to hold brigade sports & to that end next Monday night will see us holding a concert in the canteen to produce funds.
Sat 30/9/16 26/9/16 As may be guessed this diary is written up every month or so & back dates inserted. Thus I nearly omitted one of the most important events in the lives of our Australian soldiers as soldiers on these Plains. I mean the inspection of them by HM the King.
