Japanese Pagoda which is visible for many miles. There are also models of Chinese Joss Houses in the Gardens & other interesting features. A former royal palace stands in the Gardens & exhibits many fine paintings. We returned from Kew Gardens in an old time horse bus perched upon the box seat. We found it a fine way to travel if you wish to study your route, but not if you are only on week-end, or even a week's leave. From Piccadilly we returned to Waterloo by underground and caught the 9 pm back to Amesbury and our 3 mile walk brought us
