13/8/16 (Sunday) We rose at a very early hour (about 9 am), & after breakfast walked down Oxford St to Marble Arch & Hyde Park, then on to the Serpentine and Rotten Row where all the nuts ride. However we didn't see many. A light rain must have deterred many from their Sunday morning walk. After dinner nearby we visited the Victoria & Albert Museum South Kensington. It is really a beautiful museum and is very extensive. We did not visit the Natural History Museum, and had to skip the Inventions department which I believe is very good.
