23/7/16  Before last writing & since I have been for many charming walks with our friend George Prentice. These trips we usually take after tea till about 9.30 pm and would average about 6 to 8 miles. One evening while walking to Rollestone, a neighbouring camp a gentleman passing in a car gave me a lift into the lovely village of Shrewton, distant about 5 miles from our camp. I was able to purchase a pretty set of post cards of the village. These I sent to my sister Con as I felt sure she would like them as the(y) did moderate justice to the scenes of old English beauty formed by the quaint, homely
