Soon we returned to our floating home & the next morning were mustered for church parade to the city, but our detail being put on medical picket stationed at the police station. Nevertheless we found time to further explore the place, doing again our tram trip of the night before revealing most magnificent views of the city and harbour. We also visited the zoo and Umgeni, a native village (Hindu) and Sunday beer garden about 4 miles from town. Our meals in the city proved expensive
