17/9/16 For the next morning, (Sunday) not content with my Saturdays pleasant trip, I had arranged to go to Bournemouth in a car. The cost was £5 for the car for the day. I went with four others of our headquarters staff namely Cpt Patrick (Signaller), Bombadier McManus (in charge of our Maltese cart) and Signallers Whiting and Smith. We started out about 8.30 am & travelling through Lark Hill, Amesbury, Salisbury & the quaint old villages of Downton & Fordingbridge along a perfect road reached our destination about 11 o'clock. We were once delayed for a short time by a blowout & I took the opportunity to take a photo of that part of the road which
