in Salisbury shortly after two. The trip is one of about 8 miles occupying nearly one hour & is made through undulating, agricultural land along one of the well laid roads so prevalent here in England. On our way we passed Old Salem.[Sarum] New Salem [Sarum] is incorporated in the city of Salisbury, which I compare to Bathurst in size & importance being also a City of the Plains, but such small plains of course to our Australian ideas. Our walks around Salisbury revealed many a quaint old shop & other interesting features to our inspection. We are impressed by the
