bottles in case of accident. Up till the present, the ship takes 4 minutes for everyman to reach his appointed station on the alarm sounding. For the alarm the vessels siren blows, the bells ring, & the bugles sound the alarm. We have just about resigned ourselves to this dreary sea life and incidentally to wearing lifebelts & rushing up on deck for alarms. If we practice much more perhaps it will be a case of the "Boy and the Wolf".
