Here we saw the fine hotels and the baths and swimming basin. The Baths are formed by a semicircular pier enclosing part of the beach and surf. We had tea and returned to town by rickshaw. We next made a beautiful round trip in the tram onto the hills encircling the city which by this time was lit up for the night and looked very pretty. On returning to town we were just in time for a Red Cross Concert to which we were admitted free & which we enjoyed very much. Here we had supper and then proceeded for a
