At 8-15 we fall in on parade, and soon march off to Amesbury Station & entrain. A couple of hours in the special train bring us to our destination - Waterloo Station. On the way in we passed a train of wounded at Basingstoke. Our boys hearts were softened and many a cake of chocolate & cigarette passed from train to train. From Waterloo we marched across Westminster Bridge, past Parliament House, round to Horseferry Road where are the Australian Military Hqrs. Here we were dismissed & many of us availed ourselves of the Anzac Buffet there
