12/6/16 We have been lying idle in Table Bay since the 7th instant. Life thus proves a bit monotonous but we have a fine but everchanging view of the mountains surrounding the bay, notably Table Mountain, Devil's Peak, Lions Head with Signal Hill on the right. These mountains are generally partly obscured by clouds or mists giving them a different aspect every day.
13/6/16 The monotonous routine has at last been broken and our hearts are gladdened by the news of a route march ashore today. At 10am we parade
