consequently a close scrutiny of the sky will usually reveal a biplane, while sometimes they come very close to us. One evening I went with a patient in the motor ambulance to Perin Downs. The distance is about 12 miles each way thro picturesque little villages & I thoroughly enjoyed the trip. On July 14 we received our first mail since leaving sunny NSW. How glad we were! My portion of the mail consisted of 16 letters in all. Shortly following we received the newspapers belonging to the mail. Many hours work is involved in answering these letters, & one misses the existence of real news for subject matter.
