sick parade at 6.45 am. The men usually have colds only but there are also always a certain number of dressings to be done also mainly for cuts, bruises, boils, sore feet, earaches etc. Parade is usually over about 7.30, and soon after we go to breakfast, which over, we come back and tidy up the surgery by 9.00 am, when the doctor pops in. During the day there are medicines to be given & sundry dressings to be done. During the evening we go out if we feel inclined always leaving one or two in charge. Sometimes we have accidents to attend & sometimes lectures, but as a rule our work is fairly routine. Needless to say
