Ive seen I think ours are the best & neatest of all with the expt exception of some of the Scoth Scotch Regiments.
I saw by this mornings paper that one of our officers have been killed & that was Mr Binnie who dad met when I was sick while at Rosehill.
Some more of our chaps came in today & some of them have some awful wounds in which some of the men won't recover, some are conscious but as happy as mudlarks. I wont ever forget the cunningness of the Germans who are leading the Turkish swines & on the Monday after we landed & took a hill which we had to hold until more men came up, several times the order was given to cease fire to our chaps.
