see it, but Alice is going to try & get her address as I have promised her I will try & get Inez home again when I get back, as I think a lot of poor Alice and she is the very essence of goodness & I know & can tell a girl when I see one, & I am going to see her again. She speaks English as good as me but lots of her words are broken, but I think she will get out of that as she gets old, for she is only twenty now & she never speaks French, only when Uncle comes home each night & to the little black boys in the house, as she is alone all day & never goes into town since the war except with Uncle or Ulric.
Leon is one of the smartest despatch riders in Africa & I saw a big bit in the paper about him.
It was a pity Pat didnt call on Uncle & he would have liked to have seen him.
