Dear Mother
It is still raining here but the whole battalion has gone out for the day & I have worked my head & am having another holiday. Nearly all our things got wet as our house top leaked but we have a nice dry one dow now, because I went over to the store tent after the crowd left, & selected a brand new one, & soon got two other chaps from other sections belonging to the company & had the new tent rigged, but had a good deal of trouble as it was raining when I collared this tent & had to take the old one down & spread the waterproof sheets over the clothes & gear. The old tent was replaced while the new one had to be made like an old one
