Before moving I am sending one or two little relics of Egypt, & among them is a little stone image which I found in the sand when digging trenches & also some petrified pieces of wood of which some lovely specimens can be picked up on the sands, & I don't think I have seen a piece like one particular piece I came across in the Sydney Museum. It was only a small log but jolly heavy otherwise I would have forwarded it on too.
The days are getting extremely warm now & I'm as black as these Arabs, & look very handsome when landing back at camp after two or three days, w with tons of dust & sand grimed on my face & hands.
I was "took" yesterday & hope they will turn out better than the last lot, & will send them with the other things.
I don't think I'll have time to send them all round, so you can do what you like with them.
It's wonderful how these horses know the bugle calls, for "feed up" has just sounded & they are all neighing & snorting like a lot of babies.
