I am doing well in the way of cigarettes etc. & this week I have had a heavy mail, as three boxes of 100 & two of 50 & also some chocolates.

There is another draught leaving here on Monday for the Dardanelles & are all very busy packing & getting all sorts of little odds & ends together which is necessary for trench life.

I visited a torpedo factory yesterday afternoon & saw something wonderful in the shape of machinery and also watched the torpedoes being fired & they move along too.

There are some Welsh chaps camped just near us & we get on with them fine, they are the best of English regiments we have come into contact with
