trouble here as far as I can see as they are jealous because the 13th lead the brigade in marches.

When we got into this Broadmudhole (as we have called this place) we didn't get any tea, & the Queensland boys brought over some dixies of tea & bread & jam & then when the tents came along which was not till eight at night a squad of Tas, S. Aus & Queensland boys gave us great help in putting them up & we think a lot of them in the way they have acted towards us.

On Tuesday it poured & everything got drenched & there was no drill so half of us went into Melbourne & had a great time although it rained the whole time & we missed the last train home & caught a goods train but it was too wet to walk back to camp so we slept on the station & got back at five in the morning after putting in a bitterly cold night.
