there were only 72 present out of 1600 men, but F Compy had the most men on parade with 10 men. Everyone is back again and happy as larry.
I put that chap to sleep pretty quick whom I told you about & when he is all right again he is to get another not from me but another chap. I'm glad I had first go as this other chap fix him up properly & I might have had to wait a long time but he has to be taught lessons.

The ground puts me in mind of an enormous ant hill as we were up at five had muster parade & then breakfast & after struck tents & everyone is busy packing but the worst of it its a boiling hot day & we have to wait all these long hours
