who dropped out & got a ride home in the Ambulance waggon.

On our way back to camp we collared heaps of souvenirs & we were given scores of names & addresses but it's a pity that we go on Sunday.

I received a letter from May Summerbell & she says she very much like to meet you & she also sent me a cutting from the personal column from the Evening News dated Dec. 15th 1914 where you will see what our F Company can do under command of our favourite captain Mr Norton Russel & he is filled with pride. It was funny as all along the VIctorian battalion said that we wouldn't last the day but they were mistaken
