You will have to show this round for I can't be bothered writing to everyone but will send a post card saying that I'm alive & kicking.
I've got to write a letter for a chap who lived at St Leonards wharf on the Lane Cove.
He got his hand blown off & a big gash on the head & died on the way from the fight. I was with him when he passed off, we were just off Gibraltar & he was buried ashore & he had the honor of being the first Australian soldier to be buried on the "Rock". His last words were to write to his eldest sister but so far I haven't been able to get his proper address. I'll have to wait until I get a directory from the Post Office in London.
I don't know how to tackle it as I've never written one like it in my natural.
