good old England's boats came out on top & the earth fairly shook with the cheers that went up from about three thousand throats & I wouldn't be surprised if you heard it in N.S.W.

While we were having our kit inspection we were taken by a moving picture & it will be a funny picture to see all sorts of gear spread out in front of each man.

I went down & saw Miss Skelton on the Indarra & will write a line or to [two] to Mrs Skelton some time next week even if its only a post card. I did not get a "Sun" this week did you send one?

I went down to Kew with Henry the other night to see his mother & sisters & had a very nice evening but got back at half past one & it was just two o'clock when the candle was "doused" & had to climb
