I get forteen days leave, but I have said that I don't want any leave & want to go back f by the first boat & get my revenge.

A lot of our chaps came in last night with some of awful wounds & some minus a leg or an arm while several have their both eyes gone, being shot on one side of the forehead & the bullet coming out the other side & taking the eyes clean out, but they are real soldiers & bear it wonderfully.

I can tell you I'm going to make things pretty warm & every Turk or German that gets in my way won't live anymore wounded and otherwise as they have done some dirty work to our men & they shoot our red cross men while they are doing their risky job.

While I think of it you will be sorry to hear that Alwyn Mozart died of his wounds on the way down in the ship from the Dardanelles but was happy to the last & asked how young Earnie was getting on & seemed glad when I told him he hadn't been hit when I left as it was Ernie
