crowds were all silent & you could have heard a pin drop but for our steady tramp our of the thousands of feet & every now & then a great cheer would rent the air. On leaving cap camp at 7 in the morning we had a 10 minute rest after three miles had been done & another at the second three miles & then we had no more until Royal Park was tra reached where we had coffee given us & a general brush up for we were covered in dust. The crowds were immense & got bigger as we passed along the road right through Camberwell, Coburg & Brunswick. We all arrived home at 6.30 pm after marching twenty five miles & we all feel fit to do another today. There were only three weak ones
