want to go as yesterday happened to be a glorious day but towards the late part of the afternoon it came up cold & then rained & started to blow like the devil & this morning there was a little Sun but after dinner down it came again & simply poured but kept clearing up but the wind was blowing very hard.
Our lads have been behaving fine since being here but the English Tommies have a set on us & there has been several little fights among them & our chaps & they are beginning to take notice of their black eyes & sore noses but I havent yet had anything to do with them with the exception of one I met in one of the Dorset regiments & he happened to be an Australian who enlisted when first the war broke out & got a fairly bad time of it as they were always saying he was a convict & last Sunday a lot of our men visted [visited] their camp at Portland Bill but there was no
