Next day I went before Colonel Betts who discovered why we were sent to Weymouth. Told me to return to my duties I would get my trip to Australia after all. God bless him. From now on I worked hard studying we also attended lectures twice a week on Anatomy & Physiology. I was afraid to take my 14 days sick leave for fear I would not get my trip to Aussy. I made some nice friends in Weymouth & went to many whist drives concerts plays & etc. I took four days leave & visited my people in London & Brighton once again. I was very eager to get back to Aussie as my mother was not looking too well since my brother was killed & if I got away from England I knew she would feel more contented.
