hard work for the soldiers to get around visiing friends more so if he has relations over there as Vesta Tilley the famous music artiste sings she would rather do six months in jail than try & do 10 days leave from France. As usual I had a heavy cold on me which I soon got rid of with two of these & one of those which the doctors give one on acrive service.
Jan 6th stayed in bed all day to get over the trip.

Jan 11th visited Boulogne for half a day & I found the place rather a compact little place & had a good feed for 10d at the Salvation Army then had tons of fun with the French girls & there are a great number of W.A.A.C.'s & nurses stationed here. So I had a
