Cape Town was reached early on Nov 18th we anchored in Table Bay. We were told that we would go alongside & that no man would be allowed ashore, owing to the influenza rayging there. The O.C. put the men on there honour not to break ship if they did it might mean loss of life on board & quarantine in Australian waters for several days.
