took place & we had a sing song every evening & the two up school was still going strong. On the tables it was three threepenny bits in a box Sudden Death they called it. It was too sudden for me, as I had no luck after we passed Cape Town. Land was sighted at last on Dec 15th & the question was would we spend Xmas at home all hands were on deck to see dear old Aussie again on Dec 15 we arrived at Adelaide & anchored off Semaphore. A pilot boat came out with papers & fruit. The pilot said to the Captain follow me & all the boys said they would follow him anywhere but he only took us closer to the shore & said we were in quarantined. You should have heard the growl go arround, but it was not
