The sergeant had to face a Court Martial which gave him two days No. 2 which amounted almost to nothing. Before I go any further I am quite sure all on board thanked the people of South Australia for our great welcome. They did all they could for us and made us feel it was good to be in Aussie once again.
We left Adelaide on Dec 18th and we cheered the V.A.D.s as only troops can cheer this was our last few hays on board & we were not sorry after such a long trip the Victorian boys and Tasmanians left us at Adelaide to go overland so we made straight for Sydney. With N.S.Wales & Queenslanders on board we sighted the dear old Heads at 6.30 am Dec 21st and landed at Woollomooloo Bay at 11 am. Queenslanders left first for the station &
