getting too hot for me & my being there without permission so I got back to our Rest Station only to hear the news that several of our boys were already killed & wounded, that night Fritz dropped bombs in relays, & put the wind up all of us, a great cheer went up when we brought one Gotha down, the searchlights would pick them up & then all kinds of guns & rifles would blaze away at them. Some Fritz's would even fire down tlhe searchlights to put them out & also get a few of the crew. Bombing we got used to, every night he would have a go at the dumps arround us but we had a good time compared to the men who were the other side of Ypres they had a fearful time of it. The A.D.M.S. was killed
