wounded was a treat to watch. I believe some Countess was in charge directing operations which were carried out in a splendid manner. We were placed in a car & driven to Fulham Military Hospital where I was placed in ard C.S. It was not long before I rung up my sister & within two hours after my admission I had visitors. The doctor examined me next day July 20th & told me he would do the operation on the following Wednesday, July 21st
Two of my sisters visited me & I had a long chat with them they also brought me fruit, cakes & etc. Tuesday July 23 I went for a picnic up the river Thames & visited the Kew Gardens which are indeed splendid I had a very nice tea but I knew I would not enjoy same long as I was to be back in
