We cheered her & she looked hard at us & wondered if we were mad or not. We got a good welcome back to Belle View Farm. Major Wooster seemed surprized when I told him we were not glad to get back. We had a good rest here & on April 9th Scotty & I visited Amiens. What a great day we had. Had some fine coffee & eggs for breakfast. Dinner at the Hotel Moderne. I bought many presents & sent them home & walked nearly 20 kilos of our way back home again.
While we were at Belle View Farm we had a good rest although we were running a rest station which had many patients there, the highest total was 1,575 & that is a lot of work for the cooks there were 23 boilers in the kitchen & so by being out in the line we missed a lot of work & had a good time in the bargain.
