before Jack our dog discovered where the rats are & had already comenced work killing them. We soon had a fair number of patients in hospital but we were in a good home. here we saw several football matches & the 8th Battalion Australian Rules team was exceedingly good & the matches were a treat to watch. Our own Ruggy & Soccer teams were winning plenty of matches.

It is in this convents grounds that Major W. Redmond son of the famous John Redmond Irish M.P. lies burried. There are also many good concert parties about here, including the Smart Set & the Sentimental Blokes, & others which were as good as many shows we have seen in the Music Halls at home. We also get plenty of Leave to Baileull, a town which I never cared much for as there is very little to see or do
