there although there are many good shops in the town. It was here I lost our dog Jack, but he was found again three days later & brought back home by one of the boys. Pte Dundas was the man that found him.
I visited the aeroplane grounds very often at Baileull & it was simply great to see the new machines straight from Blighty which can travel 150 miles an hour & look like little dreadnoughts with their guns aboard. A wonderful invention is the two Vicers machine guns which fire through to propeller as it is going full speed without the shots touching the blades.
I had a quiet time at the Convent, & the sisters were very good to the boys also the Mother Superior who spoke English very well indeed. She told me all about the Germans when they came there in 1914
