for long as our playing the game at Cape Town got us out of quarantine after one day so on Dec 17 we went alongside at the outer harbour. We were allowed on the wharf where the V.A.D.s had a splendid tea awaiting us & after one had a good fill up the Mayor of Port Adelaide welcomed us back & we had a fine concert given to us by a party from Adelaide. The South Australian men all were given £5-0-0 Xmas Gift from the South Australian funds & they all left earlier for home. Next day was a field day a special train took us up to Adelaide we got a fine reception all along the route when we reached town the Red Cross workers & K.A.P.s took us arround the town in moter trams & we had soft drinks & cakes also
