Sunday 26th Another day in St Omer. Went into the Park & heard the band which sounded fine & the French girls looked chic.
Sept 2nd Visited Estaires along with the Colonel went by motor ambulance. My friends gave me a royal welcome & what a dinner only as French people can serve it up, life was indeed worth living, that was the last time I saw the good folks next year. Saw the place knocked to pieces by the Huns & captured.
