She speaks both French & German fluently & is very well read.
There is nothing at all bad in her & will do anything for dear little Rex & Rod. At Christmas time she sent a parcel to Rex made up of just what he likes & I'm sorry I didnt write her as often as I should have done, as she knew when my birthday was & not hearing from me she wrote & asked Rex what she thought I'd like & he said a cigarette case or some pipes & away she went & got two lovely pipes, a bundle of cleaners, tobacco & cleaners, but she kept them & handed them to me as soon as I went to see her.
She was showing me some letters from Rex & they were really nice, & one I read of when he said he would go & see her if only for a little while as he was determined to see London when he got leave.
Joss wrote Rod but he never answered same, but Rex excused him, & told her what a lad he was.
