with her initials N.R. put on & it cost four lovely half crowns & now I'll have to wait for pay day before going out with one my brides. The other chaps all threw in & got a dinner set & cost £2-12-6.
We all had a good day & got home at eight oclock but I suppose we will have to appear before the "beak" to-morrow & do C.B. for a few days but what's the odds so long as we are happy.
There has been several weddings since our chaps have been in England but no one is going to grab this chicken. I am not going into Weymouth any more as I am getting too well known as several times I have been on the Promenade walking along with a skirt & when I see another that I have met I look on the opposite side, only to look into another's face & when the one who I am with wants to know who she is, I tell her she was one of the nurses, or a cousin or some other
