off & we were strong for a few kilos stopped at a station & then stopped every now & then for hours at a stretch. we left Amiens at 8-45 AM  for Le Harve the journey in Peace times takes at the most  4 ½ half hours if that, so we reckoned on twelve hours in the train at the most, our carriage was to hold eight sitting we had thirteen ten sitting squashed up & three standing when we got tired at sitting we stood & when we were tired of both we swore. it was a fearful long journey & one could hardly get sleep we arrived at Le Harve 9-30 A.M. after  Dec 4th after being in the train 25 hours & when we tried to get some breakfast it was refused as it was out of hours. So we made our way to the rest camp feelling very dejected & tired. The officer said he was
