did not have many patients we had a very good time here pleanty of sports & leave to  Amiens. The Colonel certainly looked after the men here, & out of the canteen funds they bought plenty of lettuces onions carrotts & plenty of green stuff & spuds, so the men were satisfied & the leave to Blighty opened up & the men were going in tens. We had plenty of football & cricket at Bapaume but here it was hardly nothing else & the baseball matches used to be very exciting.

Our boys won 1 DSO. Major Bond & 13 Military medals so the Colonel presented the Colours on ribbons  one day on a Special Parade. We were camped on a hill so we got a good view of the surrounding country which looked beautiful. A party of B. Section went over
