March 3rd a great day for me to go sight-seeing so I went ro Develle Wood Waterlot Farm, inspected a few broken tanks & then went past Thistle Dump to the Miller Sons Dugout which is a 45 feet deep dugout in the Supports Trenches & is used as a Dressing Station. This day Fritz was knocking the crest of the ridge about so I thought it best to retire home as a piece of something hard hit the ground near my feet. I also visited Carnoy Dump on Feb 18th. This is the dump that went off when Fritz bombed it. It looked like as if a big fire had taken place there, one could not get very near but all the trees were
