hospital by 7 pm to be prepared for the operation which takes place tomorrow, 7.30 pm. received half a cip of castor oil to go on with. I do not like it at all. July 24th the day after being prepared for an internal operation I went down to the Theatre or as the boys say to see the pictures at 10 am had cloriform & ether administered came round after 1 pm very sick & felt awful for two days my father came to see me the day after the operation. Thanks for the good attention of the Sister Nurses & V.A.D. I soon recovered & the American doctor who performed the operation said it was successful.
I was here that the Australian Red Cross does good work every week a lady comes round & asks you what you are in need of such as cigarettes soap
