My dear Cousin
What a night this is. Rain, rain, rain without easing - & blowing big guns! Just the night for big fires, interesting books and - congenial companionship, eh?
It was my intention to write to you on your birthday.... stating all my good wishes and thoughts, etc. But something came along to prevent my doing so - and what times I've written since special reference has slipped my memory.... Though I did send my wish for "Many Happy Returns", I know.
Well, Harry, what am I do wish you at this the commencement of your 29th year? You know I am only too anxious that your future should prove satisfactory, your welfare prosperous, your daily round of life happy.... and your years just as many as you yourself wish them. Good luck to you, mon ami,... and a contented mind!
I'm glad to hear Ellis is happily content with his housekeeping preparations. I hope both he & his bride prove an ideal couple throughout a lengthy life. Yes, I'm quite sure your mother is very thankful she
