September 18th 1921

My dear Harry,

I really don't know what you will be thinking of me, for it is certainly a very long time since I wrote you, I know but please forgive.

Quite a number of unusual things have occured here latterly, Harry. I almost forget if we have written you to let to know that poor old Grannie Livesey is at last laid to rest... She died on the morning of Wednesday the 28th of June. Very easily and peacefully.

By now, Maggie, the attendant, has left us - which makes the house more easily worked, but very quiet... We quite miss the chatter.

For the last week of August and the first ten days of this month, mother and I were away holidaying together. It is over eight years since mother and I were away in company on the mainland - so you'll guess, we enjoyed it very much. We spent some days in L'pool, and some days in Chester... but the greater part of the time at L'landudno...

Its only a week last Tuesday Saturday
