My dear Cousin
Here am I at last, comfortably installed at my Auntie's home in Birkdale!
If I remember rightly, I wrote you just be coming across to the mainland - and you'll be wondering what I have been doing since then till now....
Well, I left "Summer Hill" on the Saturday evening three weeks ago last Saturday to be accurate - and spent the weekend in Douglas, crossing to L'pool three weeks ago today -. It was a beautiful sail across and, as I made the acquaintance of a most attentive young gentleman! I made a very merry outing of the whole journey - he saw me to "Birkdale"!
The very following day - three weeks ago tomorrow - Auntie and I set off for "Matlock" .... and arrived amid snow and ice! Of course, "Rockdale Hydro", the place we stayed, is heated throughout with the hot-water-pipe-system, so we didn't feel the cold one little bit... which was truly beautiful for me ums.
